Last but not least, we got the opportunity to have an interview with Daniel M. Metzler,
CEO of the German congress agency wikonect, for our guest contribution. wikonect,

among others, organizes the Annual Meeting of the German Association of Phlebolo-
gists (DGP) every year. He gives insight into wikonect's challenging situation during the
Corona pandemic in 2020 and 2021 and into the drawn consequences and developed
concepts for future oriented fair and congress organization.

We are honoured to present you for the first time our new tribute “Center of Excellence”.
A physician and the medical center he or she is working in are introduced because he or
she makes an outstanding contribution in exploring, inventing and establishing innova-
tive minimally invasive treatment methods. For 2022, it is Dr. Petar Dragić from Serbia,
who is the author of our first original article in this issue, who invented an own new high-

level technique for EndoVenous Laser Ablation (EVLA).

We hope you will enjoy our articles and experience them as an interesting start to a
worldwide exchange and discussion about all perspectives of vascular surgery and treat-
